As a personal trainer, the number #1 question I always get is: What exercise do I need to do / What do I need to eat .... to lose weight and get rid of the belly?

Of course if weight loss was such a simple thing, we would never have to struggle with it to begin with, but the reality is that weight loss is more than just calories is, calories out. It has a lot to do with how much your are prone to gain fat (can be controlled), how much your are prone to burn fat (can also be controlled)... and whether you are doing the right thing to burn the maximum a mount of fat. We often tend to blame it on "poor metabolism" and "poor genes". Far more often than we would like to admit. In reality, taking responsibility and taking the right steps, we can CHANGE our metabolism.

If you are looking for an excuse, you might as well consider the following: It's Sunday, it's Monday, It's rainy, It's too hot... the list goes on, fact is, there is no such thing as a good excuse why you shouldn't take you weight seriously.

True weight loss come from a combination of good nutrition, combined with cardiovascular and resistance training. While weight loss can occur on account of each and every one of them, it can never truly be completed without those three elements  combined which is why many people who lose weight, quickly gain it back (so called the "yoyo effect")

In order to achieve true weight loss. we much look at it from a wider perspective. What can we do to decrease fat gain potential, increase fat burning potential and trigger weight loss mechanism in the body?
